Hong Kong Red Cross Pass-it-On Campaign 2019” Officially Launched
Chief Ambassador Alex Fong Continues to Spare No Effort in
upporting Humanitarian Work

(Hong Kong, 22nd November, 2019) The 17th Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) “Pass-it-On Campaign” is officially launched today. Succeeding the theme of “Love & Found”, the campaign aims to raise funds for supporting the humanitarian work of the HKRC and helping the disadvantaged community in society. Entering the 16th year as the Chief Ambassador, Mr. Alex Fong once again renders wholehearted support for the Campaign and the humanitarian work of the HKRC. Together with the Campaign icon “Reddie Bear”, they disguise as magical pâtissiers of “Reddie Bear Love Pastry Academy” and invite the public to prepare “love pastries”, sharing the warm sweets embodying “love and care” among every corner in the city.

While the charity sale is one of the highlights of the Campaign, the two lovely and functional charitable items available this year are officially open for sale. Reddie Bear “Bake with Love” Cutlery Set is suitable for home use and dining on the go, as it consists of stainless steel cutlery, a reusable straw and a straw brush wrapped with a table mat, which is printed with a delicious and easy-to-follow recipe. Another charity sale item is the Reddie Bear “Love to Share” Bottle, comprised of a lovely Reddie Bear lid with a bonsai design and a tea strainer, which is a perfect container for soup and dessert, as well as delivering warmth and love to people around. Besides purchasing the “Reddie Bear” items, which are perfect for self-use or gifting, to support the “Pass-it-On Campaign”, the public can also render support to the HKRC through a cash donation or joining the “Gifted Bear Program” which one can purchase and re-gift Reddie Bear “Love to Share” Bottle to the underprivileged population via the HKRC’s network, spreading “love and care” to different and further places.

The two Reddie Bear items are now available at the outreach counters, as well as the following online platforms till 31st January 2020, including,, and Reddie Bear “Bake with Love” Cutlery Set is also available at selected PARKnSHOP, FUSION, TASTE, INTERNATIONAL, food le parc, GOURMET, GREAT FOOD HALL, SU-PA-DE-PA, Watsons and FORTRESS from now on until 17th January 2020.

About “Pass-it-On Campaign”
Aiming to raise funds in support of the humanitarian work of the Hong Kong Red Cross and to promote the “Share and Care” spirit amongst people, the HKRC has been organizing the Pass-it-On Campaign since 2003. The charity campaign has become one of the HKRC’s key annual fundraising events. It encourages people to care not only for their families and friends, but also for those close and afar who are less fortunate and in need. It emphasizes the power of joining hands, that when we all put ourselves together, an enormous loving power can be accumulated to help those who are in need. It is a fundraising campaign that relies on this “pass-it-on effect” amongst people to spread the “share and care” spirit.
