For immediate release 24th May 2013 Students aged 3 to 12 plan and organize a charitable event raising funds for Hong Kong Association of the Deaf at the 4th JEMS Learning House Graduation Ceremony cum Community Fundraiser Event Photos: http://www.seedland.hk/press/jem/2013-pre/ Renowned as the expert of Character Education for children up to the age of 12, JEMS Learning House is going to hold its 4th Graduation Ceremony cum Community Fundraiser Event on the 22nd of June 2013. Based on the three core values covered by JEMS Learning House – “Identity”, “Relationships” and “Community”, students aged 3 to 12 will apply what has been taught in class and work together to contribute to the community by raising funds for Hong Kong Association of the Deaf. Last year, the event attracted an attendance of about 400 guests and a total of over HKD100,000 was raised at the event for the SAHK B M Kotewall Memorial School. This year, there will be a singing performance by JEMS students with a group of hearing-impaired children from Hong Kong Association of the Deaf as well as dramas, speeches and performances by students. Apart from the sensational stage performances, a number of fundraising booths will be set up at the venue by the students. In order for JEMS students to truly understand the people they will be helping, JEMS and HKAD are organizing a joint Fun Day event on the 1st of June 2013. JEMS students will be able to learn how to communicate with a group of hearing-impaired children from HKAD and HKAD students will get a chance to interact with hearing children in a fun manner. Ms Christine Ma, Principal of JEMS Learning House remarks, “JEMS Learning House strives to inspire children to be compassionate and thankful and thereby equip them to be junior leaders to serve our community. This year we are holding our 4th fundraiser event and I sincerely hope that our students can exercise what they have learnt at JEMS in their daily lives and act as ‘Junior Excellent Members of Society’. I wish to encourage more children to help others, to work together, to care and to serve. We are all so proud of them! I would like to take this opportunity to call upon your support in encouraging our children to be considerate and helpful by attending the fundraiser event.” About JEMS Released by: Media Enquiries:
