Dedicated to fostering harmonious and healthy relationships within families and society, Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation has been advocating for the designation of the second Sunday in October each year as “Grandparents’ Day”, promoting the culture of “Appreciation Starts at Home”. Themed “Holistic Well-being”, “Grandparents’ Day” 2026 highlights expressing love through care for grandparents’ physical and mental well-being as a shared family experience.

Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation has joined hands with renowned martial arts master Leung Yim Ha to introduce the “Tap to Love” Body Tapping workout. Designed to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and enhance health, this body percussion routine embodies the “5 Love Languages”, transforming wellness into the trendiest intergenerational activity for grandparents and grandchildren to express love and care. Manifesting Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation’s vision of enhancing bonds across generations, renowned actress Kathy Yuen has formed an intergenerational team with her husband Maverick Mak’s mother and their daughter to record videos performing the “Tap to Love” Body Tapping routine. By sharing their heart-warming family interactions, they raise public awareness of the “Tap to Love” Body Tapping Online Challenge and the “Grandparents’ Day” 2026 Funfair to be held on October 11.

This engaging video marks the very first collaboration between Kathy, her mother-in-law, and her daughter. Dressed in family-themed attire – matching pink tops with khaki bottoms – a stylish idea suggested by Kathy’s daughter, the trio performed the body percussion routine with rhythmic music, sharing cheerful moments filled with laughter. Notably, the energetic grandmother showcased an impressive flair for dance – a trait clearly inherited by her son, renowned dance master Maverick Mak, and her granddaughter. Beyond the full three-generation routine in standing and sitting postures, the mother‑daughter duo demonstrated an alternative version of the exercise, highlighting the flexibility of the “Tap to Love” Body Tapping exercise. Expressing her appreciation for the creative idea of transforming a traditional health-boosting exercise into a fun family activity that strengthens intergenerational bonds, Kathy remarks, “With a hectic daily work schedule, I truly treasure every moment spent with my family. More than an interactive family game, the ‘Tap to Love’ Body Tapping routine offers me precious quality time with my daughter and her grandparents, while also promoting health and boosting energy.”

As an actress, bakery owner, and devoted mother committed to balancing career and family life, Kathy shares heartfelt family interactions and insights on strengthening bonds, incorporating elements of the “5 Love Languages”. She notes that her family regularly enjoys meals and gatherings with the grandparents, helping to strengthen bonds across generations. She is especially grateful to her mother-in-law, who picks up her daughter from school and provides daily care, and took on the role of a confinement nanny. Treated with wholehearted love, Kathy has fostered an affectionate and close relationship with her. She highlights the importance of time management, such as dedicating evenings to quality time with her daughter after a full day of work. She also cherishes her daughter’s heart-warming gestures of delivering handmade cards to her grandparents on their birthdays, hoping this tradition of gifting will be passed down. Moreover, she emphasizes that physical touch is vital: simple acts like hugs, a pat on the shoulder, or holding hands are meaningful ways to show care and warmth to grandparents.
