Guided by its vision of nurturing harmonious and healthy relationships within families and society, Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation has advocated designating the second Sunday of October each year as “Grandparents’ Day”, promoting the culture of “Appreciation Starts at Home”. This year, “Grandparents’ Day 2026” adopts the theme of “Holistic Well-being”. Through a diverse range of activities inspired by the “5 Love Languages”, the campaign transforms care for grandparents’ physical and mental well-being into precious opportunities for families to spend meaningful time together.

Following a series of activities co-organized with various NGOs over the past six months, Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation will present its flagship event, the “Grandparents’ Day” 2026 Funfair, at D·PARK on October 11. Incorporating elements of sport, art and intergenerational harmony, the Funfair will feature a vibrant line-up of interactive game booths, family workshops and performances by grandparents and grandchildren, offering families a joyful setting to spend quality time together while exploring different ways to show love and care. The event will also feature the prize presentation ceremony and winners’ exhibition of the “GenLove Precious Moments” Drawing Competition 2026, together with the exhibition of works created in the “GenLove Portrait Workshops”, showcasing the distinctive relationships and precious moments shared between grandparents and grandchildren.

Admission is free. Grandparents, parents, grandchildren, and families across Hong Kong are cordially invited to join the Funfair for a joyful weekend of togetherness.

Inspired by the journey of the “5 Love Languages Express”, the Funfair will invite visitors to travel through five themed zones, each representing one of the “5 Love Languages”: Service Station (Acts of Service), Praise Platform (Words of Affirmation), Gift Gallery (Receiving Gifts), Hug Harbor (Physical Touch), and Togetherness Lounge (Quality Time). Through a variety of game booths and family workshops organized by participating NGOs, grandparents and grandchildren can discover meaningful ways to express love and care for one another. From playful challenges to hands-on family activities, each experience is designed to encourage connection, communication and mutual appreciation across generations.

Upon arrival, visitors will receive a stamp collection card. By participating in a game booth or workshop in each themed zone, they can collect one stamp per zone. Visitors who collect stamps from all five themed zones will be eligible to redeem a limited-edition “Appreciation Gift set”. The gift set includes Lee Kum Kee products, “Grandparents’ Day” stickers, a message card and a magnetic board featuring a family activity planner. Quantities are limited and available while stocks last. Please refer to the attachment for activity details.
