香港紅十字會一年一度籌款活動 「愛心相連大行動」正式啟動
全港義賣精心設計「小熊巾.大熊抱」系列
一家大細 貼心窩心「熊抱」迎聖誕
(香港‧2011年11月21日) 由香港紅十字會舉辦的「愛心相連大行動」義賣籌款活動昂然踏進第九屆。活動於昨天下午假上水廣場舉行別開生面的啟動儀式,大會希望透過活動,向廣大市民宣揚「愛分享.分享愛」的主題,並於聖誕佳節以至整個冬日,以義賣品「小熊巾.大熊抱」系列 (即「小熊巾」毛巾套裝及「大熊抱」暖水袋),「毛」時無刻為身邊所愛及有需要人士,貼心窩心地送上暖意關懷。
啟動儀式上,一眾主禮嘉賓,包括香港紅十字會總監任錦光先生、活動鑽石贊助雋思集團執行董事陳宏道先生、三星電子香港有限公司市務總裁周文榮先生;聯同活動金贊助大昌華嘉香港有限公司人力資源總監謝文鳯女士及香港紅十字會秘書長陳啟明先生,將代表愛心的心形圖案,「灌注」到本年度的「大熊抱」暖水袋模型內,讓熊仔即時暖爆現場,喻意「『毛』時無刻.貼心窩心地為身邊人灌注愛心」。再加上一班來自國際英文幼稚園的小朋友,活潑可愛地於台上載歌載舞,成功為現場升温,讓圍觀市民亦感受到温暖。
香港紅十字會總監任錦光先生表示:「『愛心相連大行動』已踏入第九個年頭,繼續以「愛分享.分享愛」為主題,希望這年度活動能團結眾人力量,將愛心相連,實踐香港紅十字會的人道理念,致力保護生命、關懷傷困、維護尊嚴。今年義賣品『小熊巾.大熊抱』系列可愛又實用,希望能藉此吸引更多有心人支持我們,以籌募更多善款,支持及擴展我們的人道服務工作。」
設計獨特義賣品
香港紅十字會一向精心設計義賣品,每年匠心獨韻的設計均大受歡迎,義賣成績更屢創新高。今個冬天,香港紅十字會便推出暖意無限的「小熊巾.大熊抱」系列,小熊幻化為暖笠笠的500毫升「大熊抱」暖水袋,慈善價港幣98元。另外,「小熊巾」為一套附有小熊頭的毛巾配襯萬用袋﹝各一﹞,有紅、黑兩色選擇,慈善價為港幣68元。市民更可購買「小熊巾」,並交由香港紅十字會作「愛心轉贈」,轉送給本地、內地及世界各地弱勢社群的小孩,讓他們也感受到來自遠方的愛和溫暖。

The “Pass-it-On Campaign” Kick-off Ceremony
Charity Sales of Specially-designed “Red CrossBear Towel” & “Red CrossBear Warmer”
Brings Big “Bear Hugs” to Your Families with Festive Joy and Warmth in this Christmas
(Hong Kong, 21 November 2011) Organized by the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC), “Pass-it-On” Annual Fundraising Campaign (the Campaign) has been stepping into its ninth year and the kick-off ceremony was held yesterday at Landmark North, Sheung Shui. This year, the HKRC continues the theme of “Love to Share, Share to Love” in promoting the “Love and Care” spirit amongst people. With our icons this year, “Red CrossBear Towel” (a towel set) & “Red CrossBear Warmer” (a warmer), we can celebrate this Christmas with families and loved ones in festive joy and warmth while helping others in need. Love is all around us!
In the ceremony, officiating guests including Mr Allen Yam, Director of the HKRC; Diamond Sponsors of the Campaign Mr Thomas Chan, Executive Director of QP Group and Mr Lawrence Chow, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Electronics H.K. Co, Ltd; Gold Sponsor, Ms Carrie Tse, Human Resources Director of DKSH Hong Kong Limited and Mr K M Chan, Secretary General of the HKRC joined together to experience the mood of “Love is All Around Us”. The officiating guests put giant hearts into a huge Bear Warmer model on stage, and the warmth of Bear Warmer spread all over the venue. This gives a symbolic meaning of “filling with love” and “spreading warmth and love all around”. Together with the lovely dance performance by students of St. Catherine's International Kindergarten, and the “big hug action” amongst students and their families, the thriving atmosphere brought the Ceremony to a new height and embarked the Campaign of this year.
Mr Allen Yam, Director of the HKRC, revealed at his opening remarks, “The Campaign comes to its 9th edition continuing the theme of “Love to Share, Share to Love”. Through the Campaign, we wish to emphasize the power of joining hands, that when we all put ourselves together, an enormous loving power can be accumulated to help those who are in need. This is indeed in line with the HKRC vision of protecting human life, caring for the health of the vulnerable and respecting human dignity. This year’s icons, “Red CrossBear Towel” and “Red CrossBear Warmer” are lovely yet practical. We hope these would help raise public awareness, increase the number of our supporters and boost our charity sales which in turn, would sustain our humanitarian work to cater more the needs of the vulnerable.”
Unique design of charity sales icon
As the tradition goes, the HKRC always specially designs the charity sales icons. The unique design of each year received positive response while the charity sales constantly hit record high. This year, the HKRC will launch “Red CrossBear Towel” and “Red CrossBear Warmer” to warm the winter. With a donation of HK$98, one will receive a “Red CrossBear Warmer”, i.e. a 500 ml warmer. In addition, “Red CrossBear Towel”, a bear-head towel set with a multi-functional bag, is available in red or black color at a donation of HK$68. Public may also re-gift “Red CrossBear Towel” via the HKRC network to the underprivileged children in Hong Kong, the Mainland China and overseas, as a gift of love and care from afar.

Aiming to raise funds in support of the humanitarian work of the Hong Kong Red Cross and to promote the “Share and Care” spirit amongst people, the Hong Kong Red Cross has organized the Pass-it-On Campaign since 2003. The campaign has become one of the key fundraising events of the Hong Kong Red Cross. It encourages people to care not only their immediate families and friends, but also for those close and afar who are less fortunate and in need. It emphasizes the power of joining hands, that when we all put ourselves together, an enormous loving power can be accumulated to help those who are in need. It is hence a fundraising campaign, relying on this “pass-it-on effect” amongst people to spread the “share and care” spirit.
