一年一度「愛心相連大行動」正式啟動
慈善義賣「絕『袋』雙『熊』」 方力申、梁漢文任榮譽大使


(香港•2010年11月21日) 由香港紅十字會舉辦的「愛心相連大行動」已踏入第八屆,活動今天正式展開,透過「絕『袋』雙『熊』」義賣及探訪活動,宣揚「愛分享•分享愛」的主題,把愛與關懷的訊息無遠弗屆地傳播。活動所籌得的善款將用於支持及拓展香港紅十字會的人道服務,達致「保護生命、關懷傷困及維護尊嚴」的使命。

為隆重其事,大會邀請連續五年擔任活動榮譽大使的方力申先生,以及首次擔任榮譽大使的梁漢文先生,今天下午三時親臨銅鑼灣wtc more 世貿中心,聯同香港紅十字會總監胡郭秀萍女士及活動鑽石贊助雋思集團執行董事麥展鵬先生、三星電子香港有限公司企業市務部總監鍾孝揚先生;金贊助領?財務董事總經理莊鴻鈞先生及傑特生物醫療(亞太區)有限公司亞洲區營運總監楊偉榮先生,一同主持「愛心相連大行動2010」啟動儀式,為這年度盛事揭開序幕並一同帶出活動主題及口號。

香港紅十字會每年也會精心設計配合活動主題的義賣物品作慈善義賣,今年便特別設計了迎合環保潮流的「絕『袋』雙『熊』」,把大家熟悉的小熊化身成軟綿綿的零錢包及實用的環保袋,背後更有?莫大的意義:每分零錢的累積,均能成就大幫忙!市民只需捐出港幣88元,便可認購「絕『袋』雙『熊』」,更可由香港紅十字會送往指定地址,為所愛的人送上驚喜。市民亦可把認購的「絕『袋』雙『熊』」交由香港紅十字會作「愛心轉贈」,轉送給本地及世界各地的貧困小孩,讓他們也感受到來自遠方的愛和溫暖。今年大會更首次推出別注版「大頭熊」電話繩,於部份外展慈善義賣站有售,售價為港幣68元。活動今年更特設facebook網頁www.facebook.com/hkrcpion希望利用網上社交媒體讓大眾了解活動最新資料。

方力申先生已身體力行支持「愛心相連大行動」超過五年,對連任榮譽大使表示興奮:「能夠再度獲邀成為『愛心相連大行動』的榮譽大使,真的感到非常榮幸,亦因此見證?活動一年比一年盛大,也得到越來越多大眾支持。今年能與Edmond一同為活動宣傳,可謂好事成雙!希望大家見到我倆,便會想起「絕『袋』雙『熊』」,請大家多多支持是次義賣活動,體現『愛分享.分享愛』的快樂。」

首次擔任榮譽大使的梁漢文先生亦表示:「非常喜歡今年的義賣品「絕『袋』雙『熊』」。熊仔錢包肩負重任,所能盛載的零錢更能超越所想,發揮無限力量幫助有需要人士,彰顯積少成多的重要!」

Hong Kong Red Cross “Pass-it-On Campaign 2010” Kick-off Ceremony

(Hong Kong, 21st November 2010) Stepping into the eighth year of Pass-it-On Campaign, the organizer, the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) continues the theme of “Love to Share, Share to Love” in promoting the “Love and Care” spirit amongst people. A number of voluntary functions, including charity sales of Red Cross + Twin Bears will be hosted from today till end of January 2011. All proceeds raised from the Campaign will be used to support and to sustain the humanitarian work of HKRC, in its mission is “to protect human life, care for the health of the vulnerable, and respect human dignity”. As the annual highlighted event of HKRC, Mr. Alex Fong and Mr. Edmond Leung, Chief Ambassadors of the Campaign, together with Lady Wu, Director of the Hong Kong Red Cross; Diamond Sponsors including Mr. Raymond Mak, Executive Director of QP Group and Mr. Alex Chung, Director of Corporate Marketing of Samsung Electronics H.K. Co, Ltd; Gold Sponsors Mr. David Chong, Managing Director of Credit Gain Finance Company Ltd. and Mr. Ben Yang, Director of Asia Operations of CSL Biotherapies Asia Pacific Ltd., were invited to present at wtc more in Causeway Bay today at 3:00pm to officiate the “Pass-it-On 2010” Kick-off Ceremony and in revealing the theme message of the Campaign.

Every year, Hong Kong Red Cross would design a charity sales icon that tie-in with the theme message. This year, the charity sales icon –Red Cross + Twin Bears– is a combo of cuddly coin purse and trendy eco bag. It reveals a deep meaning underneath: coins are never too "little" to help. Their accumulative power can make significant changes to people in need. With a donation of HK$88, one will receive a Red Cross + Twin Bears for friends and relatives. Public may also re-gift Red Cross + >Twin Bears via HKRC to underprivileged children as a gift of love and care from afar. In addition to Red Cross + Twin Bears, a limited edition of Red Cross + Bear Strap (a phone strap with a cuddly bear head)is specially designed and available at selected outreach charity sales points at a donation of HK$68. This year, Pass-it-On has launched a facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/hkrcpion) for the first time to promote the Pass-it-On Campaign with social media network.

At the Ceremony, Mr. Alex Fong, who has been appointed as the Chief Ambassador for the past five years, expressed, “It’s a great honor for me to be the Chief Ambassador of Pass-it-On Campaign for 5 years. I am glad to witness the growth of this Campaign, which now gains warm support from the general public. I am very delighted to join hands with Edmond this year and I wish all of you will think of Red Cross + Twin Bears whenever you see us. Please join us to bring out the spirit of ‘Love to Share, Share to Love!’”

Mr. Edmond Leung, being the Chief Ambassador for the first time said, “I love the Red Cross + Twin Bears and its underlying meaning. It is indeed very true that adding single coins together can effect big changes to needy people. The accumulative effect could be beyond our imagination and expectation. So save every coin to help!.”

Lady Wu, Director of the Hong Kong Red Cross said, “Pass-it-On has been successfully organized for eight years and we are so grateful that the theme “Love to Share, Share to Love” has been widely spread amongst the general public. The charity sales campaign has become one of the key fundraising events of the Hong Kong Red Cross. It encourages people to care not only their immediate families and friends, but also for those close and afar who are less fortunate and in need. It emphasizes the power of joining hands, that when we all put ourselves together, an enormous loving power can be accumulated to help those who are in need. It is hence a fundraising campaign, relying on this “pass-it-on effect” amongst people to spread the “share and care” spirit.
