. 新聞稿(即時發佈) 2014年6月28日 致總編輯/港聞版編輯/副刊版編輯/教育版編輯/親子版編輯 JEMS Learning House第五屆畢業禮暨慈善嘉年華 Photos: http://www.seedland.hk/press/jem/2014grad/ 每年JEMS Learning House小學員的畢業典禮都是教育界矚目盛事,代表新一屆具備良好品德與操行的「社會傑出小成員」又即將學成出師,親手籌辦畢業禮以回顧所學,回饋社會。JEMS Learning House(JEMS = Junior Excellent Members of Society)向來以「培育社會傑出小成員」為己任,其品德教育課程以道德、社會及公民教育概念作為重要的三把鑰匙,讓小小學員從認識自己的身份開始(Identity),逐步學習與人建立良好關係(Relationships)及回饋社會(Community)。今年學校五周年紀念,JEMS小學員更是分外隆重其事,剛於6月28日盛大舉行第五屆畢業禮暨慈善嘉年華,場面熱鬧。 是日,畢業禮慈善嘉年華吸引了逾700位嘉賓出席,不少社會知名人士亦出席以示支持,包括香港中文大學校長沈祖堯教授,SBS,JP、香港大學醫學院院長梁卓偉教授,GBS,JP、香港耀能協會主席梁乃江教授、香港大學名譽教授楊紫芝醫生,GBS,JP、香港大學名譽教授馬時亨先生,GBS,JP、南豐集團總裁梁錦松先生,GBS,OBE,JP、東亞銀行副行政總裁李民橋先生,以及香港弱能兒童護助會主席李偉文先生等。此外,多位名人包括周國豐先生與太太黃泳霖女士,以及孫道弘先生與太太鍾婉琪女士也有到場支持,可謂大小朋友聚首一堂。在籌辦是次典禮的過程中,200位年齡介乎3至12歲的JEMS小學員傾盡過往所學,身體力行為香港弱能兒童護助會籌款,籌得逾港幣10萬元善款,成績教人鼓舞! 活動首先由JEMS Learning House創辦人劉馬露明校長致辭揭開序幕,特別嘉賓馬時亨先生隨即上台表揚和鼓勵一眾小學員,他很認同品德教育對小朋友的重要性。緊接着由受惠機構香港弱能兒童護助會主席李偉文先生致辭,並向策劃及統籌活動的JEMS學生致謝。隨後,馬校長更邀請了多位重量級嘉賓上台一同進行簡單而隆重的剪綵儀式,然後一連串由小學員率領的抽獎環節和精采表演便隨即展開。 除了台上的表演活動之外,逾百位JEMS學生亦合力設置了多個遊戲攤位,包括有出售由學生親自創作精緻禮品的義賣攤位,為香港弱能兒童護助會籌款。小小學員向在場嘉賓熱烈推銷,務求打破往年的籌款紀錄,氣氛熱鬧。另一邊廂,不同班級的同學在親友的見證下進行結業禮,為多姿多采的學年畫上圓滿的句號。 JEMS全年課程即時接受報名,如欲參加免費試班,歡迎致電3188 1516。 關於JEMS Learning House

For Immediate Release 28th June 2014 The 5th JEMS Learning House Graduation Ceremony cum Charity Carnival, planned and organized by students aged 3 to 12, celebrated the school’s 5th birthday and raised funds to share happiness with disabled children Photos: http://www.seedland.hk/press/jem/2014grad/ The Graduation Ceremony of students at JEMS Learning House is one of the most celebrative events in the education industry, as it signifies that a new group of respectful and polite children have graduated and are now prepared to organize their own charitable ceremony to give back to society! Renowned as the expert of Character Education, JEMS Learning House (JEMS = Junior Excellent Members of Society) focuses particularly on teaching young children the right moral, social and civic values, which sum up the three main concepts of the school. From first discovering self-identities to building relationships with others, these young children have gradually learnt how to contribute to the community in the past years, and were given the chance to demonstrate their growth in organizing the 5th Graduation Ceremony cum Charity Carnival on the 28th of July, further adding to the joy of the school’s 5th anniversary. The JEMS Graduation Ceremony cum Charity Carnival attracted an attendance of over 700 guests, including many renowned figures of society such as Prof. Joseph Sung, SBS, JP, Vice Chancellor and President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Prof. Gabriel Leung, Dean, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, Prof. N.K. Leung, Chairman of the SAHK, Prof. Rosie Young, GBS, JP, Honorary Professor, The University of Hong Kong, Prof. Frederick Ma, GBS, JP, Honorary Professor, The University of Hong Kong, Mr. Antony Leung, GBS, OBE, JP, Chief Executive Officer of Nan Fung Group, Mr. Adrian Li, Deputy Chief Executive of Bank of East Asia, and Mr. Vivian Lee, Chairman of The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children to come and show support for the little graduates. Friends of JEMS Mr. Brandon Chau and Mrs. Jenny Chau, as well as Mr. Stanley Sun and Mrs. Jacqueline Sun also joined the carnival. Throughout the event, the 200 JEMS students aged 3 to 12 fully exercised what they have learnt to raise funds for The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children, collecting over HKD100,000 to share love and happiness with their disabled counterparts. The results were truly encouraging! The event was kicked off by a welcome speech by Mrs. Christine Ma-Lau, Founder and Principal of JEMS Learning House, followed by a highly inspirational speech delivered by special guest Mr. Fredrick Ma. Mr. Vivian Lee, Chairman of The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children, also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the JEMS students for their endeavours in the preparation of the fundraising event. After that, Mrs. Christine Ma-Lau invited every honourable guest up to the stage to start the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
